Jackson Hole Winter Activities – Selecting Your Ski Pass

Jackson Hole Winter Activities

Fall has arrived, so it’s time to start planning your future Jackson Hole winter activities! Buying lift passes way in advance of winter is a great way to save some money on your ski vacation.  Jackson Hole has a number of different passes available for those that plan to ski more than 7 days here or plan on making trips to multiple ski areas this winter.  Below we’ve broken down your options and the pros of each choice.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Passes

Will Jackson Hole will be your only ski destination this winter? Do you plan on skiing at least 7 days?  Then you have a few different options for passes.  Jackson Hole Mountain Resort started the Plus Pass program last year, and it was a big hit.  These passes offer the ability to ski from 11/24/18 – 12/16/18 for free, and then an additional 7 or 10 unrestricted days after that.  Even if you choose the 10 day Plus Pass, you will pay less than half of the full season pass rate, while getting up to 33 days of skiing!

Multi-Resort Passes

If you plan on taking ski vacations or getaway weekends to a few different resorts throughout the winter season, then consider the Ikon Pass and the Mountain Collective Pass.  Both of these multi-resort passes include Jackson Hole among their destinations.

The Mountain Collective Pass includes 2 days of skiing at each of the 17 destinations. You also get 50% off any additional day passes you purchase at the included resorts.  The Mountain Collective pass does not have blackout dates at any of the resorts.  Hotels near the ski areas offer lodging discounts, as well (blackout dates apply).  For example, here at Inn on the Creek, we offer a 10% discount on our room rates for Mountain Collective pass holders.  The pass for the 2018/19 winter season is $449/adult.  There are a limited number of Mountain Collective passes sold every year, so plan ahead.

The Ikon Pass is brand new for the 2018/19 winter season.  There has been some serious buzz about this pass.  With an impressive 36 destinations included, every skier is bound to find a few regional resorts to travel to with this pass.  There are also at least 12 resorts with unlimited days.  There are two options within the Ikon Pass; the regular Ikon Pass, and the Ikon Base Pass.  The Ikon Pass includes 7 days at each destination and no blackout dates for $999/adult.  The Ikon Base Pass at $699/adult includes 5 days at each destination, but does have blackout dates (think late December, MLK, and Presidents Day weekends).

With so many pass options for Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, choose the one that works for you and come visit us this winter!
