One of our favorite Jackson Hole Fall Activities begins September 6th; the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival. This 12 day celebration of art, music, and cuisine includes some of our favorite events of the year.
Palates & Palettes, a gallery walk throughout downtown Jackson, takes place September 8th. During this walk you will tour over 30 galleries while you enjoy food, wine, and music from 5-8pm. The tour is free and open to the public, so feel free to check out as may or as few galleries as you would like downtown.
On Sunday, September 10, check out the 18th annual Takin it to the Streets. There is a lot to see and do at this fair on the Town Square. Throughout the day an auction of local artists’ work takes place. Taste of the Tetons and Sips on the Square are also part of this event. Taste of the Tetons brings together Jackson Hole’s best chefs, restaurants, and caterers to display their best work for sampling by the crowd. Sips on the Square has offerings from local and national wineries, breweries, and distilleries. Trade $1 tickets for each taste or sip of these fantastic samples. Sips on the Square is an annual fundraiser put on by the Jackson Hole Rotary Supper Club, and benefits “Honoring Our Veterans” and other community projects.
Another event not to be missed is the Jackson Hole QuickDraw Art Sale & Auction. Local, regional, and nationally recognized artists paint and sculpt during a 90 minute period, while spectators watch. The art is then auctioned off after the works are completed. The QuickDraw takes place on Saturday, September 16th, on the Town Square at 9am.
In addition to all of these fantastic events, there are gallery receptions featuring local and nationally renowned artists through the week. Check out one of our favorite Jackson Hole Fall Activities, the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival, during your stay with us at Inn on the Creek.
