Jackson Hole Bed and Breakfast- A Day in the Life of the New Gal

The Inn on the Creek is excited to welcome the newest member to our staff, Elise.  She is thrilled to be a part of this Jackson Hole Bed and Breakfast team.

Elise grew up in Central Pennsylvania.  As a kid, she was often playing outside, occupying herself with salamander hunting with her brother or water slide engineering in the backyard.  From a young age she was a lover of animals of all sorts, so it was no surprise when she studied Environmental Studies at the University of Pittsburgh.  After a college field study in Montana, she set her sights on the West as her next home.

She moved to Jackson in the late spring six years ago for a job in visitor education at Grand Teton National Park.  Elise got to conduct ranger-led hikes and monitor traffic jams caused by wildlife, among other tasks that season.  She came for the summer, but, being an avid snowboarder for most of her life, had to stay for the winter.

If you ask her what her favorite season is, she’ll start her answer with winter because it’s the only time of year for snowboarding, snowmobiling, and ice fishing.  Then she will diplomatically admit that you can catch a lot more fish in the summer, and there is something to be said for that.

On her days off Elise can be found fishing near and far, exploring the national forests on a snowmobile, or searching for wildlife to photograph with her boyfriend.  She loves few things more than being surrounded by the quiet of nature.

After years of working in many different realms of the hospitality field in Jackson Hole, Elise is excited to join the team at the Inn on the Creek.  She is looking forward to experimenting with new cookie recipes, as well as getting to garden in the summertime.  Join us for a stay at our Jackson Hole Bed and Breakfast, the Inn on the Creek, and meet our newest staff member.
