Memorial Day Weekend in Jackson Hole

Let’s kick off the summer season with Memorial Day Weekend in Jackson Hole! With so many activities opening for the season and fun events, it is a great time to be in Jackson Hole. We are celebrating the 35th annual Old West Days this Memorial Day Weekend full of fun for everyone. Check out our recommended itinerary for the weekend with our highlights not to miss!

Thursday:

The festivities kick-off at 11:30am with a toast by Governor Matt Mead in honor of The Historic Wort Hotel’s 75th anniversary. The celebration continues at the Wort from 5-9pm with the launch of the Anniversary Ale, a collaboration with Snake River Brewery, for just $0.75 per pint! Live music with local band, Major Zephyr and loads of giveaways!

Friday:

Spend the day exploring the area! If the weather cooperates, get out on the water! Rent a kayak at Signal Marina and paddle around Jackson Lake. Or take the Jenny Lake Ferry across the lake and hike to Inspiration Point. Or float down the Snake River on a scenic raft trip.

Spend the evening with the Bar J Wranglers at the Bar J Chuckwagon. Enjoy summer opening night for this wildwest dinner and a show! Reservations recommended.

Saturday:

Start the day with the 35th annual Old West Parade, the longest- running horse-drawn parade in the west. Watch the parade snake through the downtown area to Town Square.

Wet your whistle at the Old West Brew Fest on Town Square starting at 12pm. With 12 regional breweries pouring their tasty suds, this afternoon event is not to be missed. See if your favorite brewery is awarded the Golden Boot Award- quite the honor!

The fun on Town Square continues with the first Jackson Hole Shoot Out of the summer. Local actors reenact a fun wildwest shoot at 6pm followed by a Street Dance under the tent. Twirl and two-step the night away on Town Square.

Sunday:

Head back to Town Square for 10am Cowboy Church! A non-denominational service in the heart of downtown Jackson. Follow your church service up with a stagecoach ride around downtown!
