Jackson Hole Winter Activities – End of Season

Jackson Hole Winter Activities

The days are getting longer, the sun is shining brighter, and you can almost smell summer around the corner!  But before we move into spring in a few weeks, we still have a few Jackson Hole winter activities left to experience this season.  Here are a few upcoming events we are looking forward to before winter says its farewell.

The 42nd Annual World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climb

There’s not another event quite like the Hill Climb.  Town bustles with competetors and spectators who traveled from near and far for the four day event.  The jist of the event is to see who can ride their snowmobile 1,500 feet straight up the resort the fastest.  With lots of action and food and drink at the base area, it’s a fun way to spend an afternoon.  The event organizers recommend wearing warm winter clothing and boots, sunscreen, sunglasses, and bringing a lawn chair.

The Casper Beach Party

As temperatures warm and the sun shines, the atmosphere at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort changes to more of a coastal feel. Perhaps even beachy?  The focus of skiers is less on bell to bell turns, and more on enjoying some laid back spring skiing.  With it’s southeastern exposure, the Casper lift area is the perfect spot to grab a deck chair and soak in some rays while you take a break between runs.  After you’ve reapplied your sunscreen, of course!  Jackson Hole has created a fun event surrounding the area outside of the Casper restaurant, which locals have long called Casper Beach.  The Beach Party will be on March 23rd from 11:30am to 2:00pm, and will include live music and beverages.  Join the party to make sure you return home with the best goggle tan of all your friends!

The 50th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on the Town Square

On March 31st at 10:00am, 5,000 Easter eggs will be hidden on the Town Square for kids ages 1-8 years old to find.  All of the eggs will be filled with toys and candy, in addition there will be four grand prize winners.  A number of our favorite characters will be in attendance, as well, from Tigger to Dora!  The fun will continue with free showings of Boss Baby and Despicable Me 3 at the Twin Cinema immediately following the egg hunt at 11:15am.

While winter may be drawing to a close, there are still quite a few Jackson Hole winter activities to enjoy before the season ends.  Come visit us at Inn on the Creek to take part in one or all of these fun events!
