Jackson Hole Winter Activities- Cross Country Skiing at Teton Pines

Our Innkeeper at Inn on the Creek, Lindsey, just spent a delightful winters day cross country skiing at Teton Pines. She definitely gives this Jackson Hole Winter Activities big thumbs up! They offer rental equipment and lessons making this the best one-stop shop for beginners and everything cross country!

Getting There

Start your day of skinny skiing fun, with just a 20 minute drive or 30 minute shuttle bus ride from Inn on the Creek to Teton Pines Golf and Country Club. It is located at the base of the mountains with spectacular views. 

Ski Shop

First stop once you arrive at Teton Pines is their ski shop. Purchase your trail passes and get any and all the gear you may need. The ski shop offers quality rental gear making renting your skinny ski set up a snap. It is just $25 for the day for the traditional Nordic skis and $35 for the day for a skate ski package.

Lessons

Now that you have the gear, the next thing you will want is the knowledge to tackle the trails. By taking a lesson with a one of their knowledgeable instructors, you will feel more comfortable on your skinny skies. Teton Pines offers 1 hour private lessons, where in the instructor will tailor the lesson specifically to your needs and abilities. Private lessons are $70 for 1 skier or semi-private lessons are $120 for 2 skiers. They also offer group lessons for $50 per person that last 1.5 hours. Please call ahead to arrange lessons.

Hitting the Trails

They offer over 16km of immaculately groomed trails for skiers of all abilities. The trails have tracks for traditional Nordic skiing or pristine corduroy for skate skiing- making everyone happy! The rolling trails offer a bit of a challenge with stunning views as a reward. A day pass to access their trails is $15 for adults and $10 for seniors.

Once your muscles are shot, reward yourself with a stop at their delicious restaurant. The Teton Pines Restaurant offers fresh, tasty options for lunch that will be sure to satisfy you after a big day on the trails. Try the Walleye Fish Tacos or the Grilled Salmon Salad washed down with their wonderful muddled margaritas. Don’t miss Lindsey’s favorite, the house-made potato chips and French onion dip appetizer.
