What to do in Jackson Hole in late fall…
Perhaps one of the most commonly asked questions we hear is “what is there to do in Jackson during the off-season?”. Aside from the fact that the weather can be somewhat unpredictable during the fall, October and November have the potential to be great months to visit the Jackson Hole area. With loads of off-season specials at restaurants, and the lowest rates of the year at Inn on the Creek, it is one of the most inexpensive times to visit the area. Additionally, the crowds of people have departed, and herds of wildlife have emerged in their absence. We highly recommend taking a wildlife tour with one of our knowledgeable local naturalists who can guide you through the valley’s amazing ecosystem.
Another great option during the off-season is to simply spend some time enjoying the numerous art galleries that line the streets of our small town. Ranging from modern art to contemporary wildlife art, the nearly 20 galleries in Jackson have something for everyone to enjoy. The National Museum of Wildlife Art houses some of the best wildlife art in the world in addition to its picturesque location overlooking the National Elk Refuge.
After spending the day admiring both the local wildlife and the local art, Jackson is the perfect place to enjoy fine cuisine. With an abundance of fantastic restaurants you are sure to find something to suit your palate. Not to mention the money you’ll save due to the amazing off-season restaurant specials.
If you’re not in the mood to go out to eat, you can always grab some delicious take-out and enjoy it in your room while you watch one of the many DVDs from our library.
