We, at Inn on the Creek, love giving inside tips and pointers to help our guests have the best time on their Jackson Hole Summer Vacations! So here are the must-dos every evening of the week!

Monday- Jackson Hole Hootenanny

This long standing tradition of local musicians gathering at Dornan‘s for the Jackson Hole Hootenanny has been in existence for over 600 shows. Musicians religiously make the trek to Dornan’s located at Moose, the southern entrance to Grand Teton National Park, and so should you! Just a 15 minute drive from the Inn, Dornan’s has the best view of the Grand Tetons and terrific pizza and pastas. Starting at 6:30pm, this show is focused on the music, so sit back and get ready to be impressed by the best open mic you have ever been to!

Tuesday- Bluegrass night

Put your boots on and get ready to kick up your heels! Tuesday is bluegrass night at the Silver Dollar Bar in the historic Wort Hotel. One Ton Pig, a local bluegrass band, has been preforming here for many years and is a locals’ favorite. Get ready for a turn on the dance floor two stepping or sit back and enjoy some terrific people watching. Spring 2015, this historic bar was remodeled and doubled the dance floor to make room for all your swinging and dipping! Plan on having dinner and get there early to secure a table- yummy elk gyros or corn chowder soup.

Wednesday- People’s Market

People’s Market is a Farmers Market with a happy hour! This is great way to see the community of Jackson Hole. Young and old turn out to this fun evening weekly event held at the base of Snow King Mountain. Local vendors and farmers have fresh produce, breads, cheeses, honey and more! Great place to to pick up some unique souvenirs and catch some tunes from a different local band each week. After you’re stocked up on local goods, plan on having dinner and a brew too. Grab some BBQ at Bo-B-Qs food truck or Nepalese food at Everest Momo Shack stand and wash it down with a beer from a different local brewery each week. Later in the summer the People’s Market is followed by the Bike-in movie, where different classic movies are played on a big screen in the Snow King Ball Park lawn.

Thursday- Gallery Walks

Jackson Hole Gallery Association presents Gallery Walks every third Thursday of the month. This informal event is a great way to see the wide variety of art in the galleries around Town Square. Starting at 5pm, this event features special artist events at the galleries with many of them offering complimentary food and wine. Stroll through the galleries and chat with other art lovers!

Friday- Happy hour on the Deck

Nothing beats a tasty margarita at 9,000′ and valley views at the Deck.

Located over 9000′ feet, the Deck Restaurant has the best view of the valley and happy hour treats. After 4:30pm, jump on the Bridger Gondola for the 10 minute ride to the mid-mountain outside restaurant on the patio. Do not miss out on their signature $5 margaritas or huckleberry cocktail while enjoying a plate of portabella mushroom fries. For the folks looking for a work out before happy hour, ride the aerial tram to the top of Rendezvous Mountain and hike down to the Deck.

Saturday- Jackson Hole Rodeo

Memorial Day through Labor Day, Saturday nights the fairgrounds are the place to be for the Jackson Hole Rodeo! Enjoy one of the valley’s oldest traditions offering everything from bull riding to calf roping. Show starts at 8pm.

Sunday- Stagecoach Band “Church”

Make the scenic drive to the hamlet of Wilson for this weekly event on Sundays. The Stagecoach Bar is the place and the Stagecoach Band is the attraction. So many locals attend this event ritually that they started calling it “going to Church”. Enjoy local music at a bar that has not lost its western ways!
