Summer sunshine and live music, two of our favorite things of the season. Jackson Hole has been blessed with sensational music shows this summer that are thrilling visitors and locals alike. This is one of our favorite Jackson Hole Summer Activities here at Inn on the Creek. Bluegrass, funk, rock, classical- you name it we’ve have it for your listening pleasure.
Two great music series have taken off in the last couple years, Jackson Hole Live and Concert on the Commons. Jackson Hole Live is a free outdoor music series bringing live music to downtown Jackson since 2012. This year we were treated to such highlights as Anders Osborne, Johnnyswim and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue. These concerts are held at the Snow King Ball Fields and feature local food and beer vendors as well as a play area for the kiddos. Jackson turns 100 years old this summer and Jackson Hole Live is celebrating with a Centennial Concert featuring Lynyrd Skynyrd on Sunday, August 31st at 5:00pm.
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort brings us Concerts on the Commons in Teton Village each Sunday through out the summer season. The spectacular setting for this great Jackson Hole Summer Activities is at the base of the ski area in the Village Commons with a nice grass lawn and a stone amphitheater. This year’s lineup includes such musical groups as the Infamous Stringduster and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and, this Sunday, Dumpstaphunk from New Orleans.
The Grand Teton Music Festival is a well-established music series, celebrating its 40th summer this year. Musicians from renowned orchestrates from around the world will meet in Jackson Hole for a fabulous summer full of music.
