Orange Glazed Shortbread Cookies-

Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon orange zest
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
Filling Ingredients:
2/3 cups powdered sugar
3 tablespoon orange juice
1 1/2 tablespoon butter, melted
Direction:
1. To make the shortbread, cream the butter and powdered sugar together until smooth. Add the flour, salt and orange zest and mix till the dough forms a ball. Cover the dough and refrigerate for 2 hours.
2. Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees. Roll the dough out to 1/4″ in thickness and cut out 1 1/2″ circles using a cookie cutter. Place on cookie sheets lined with parchment paper.
3. Bake for 7- 9 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
4. To make the glaze- mix the powder sugar, melted butter and orange juice together. Once the cookies have cooled, spoon the glaze on top of cookies.
