Walking Distance to Jackson’s Town Square- Everything is only a stroll away!

One of the many great perks of staying at Inn on the Creek is that it is within walking distance to Jackson’s Town Square. The historic downtown of Jackson Hole is centered around Town Square where most of the restaurants, shops, galleries, city activities and people watching are all located. After the long drive or flight (or multi-flights) that it takes to get to Jackson, it is nice to know that you will be able to leave your car in the lot and stroll down the street to Town Square. Read on to find out about all the things you can discover on foot from the Inn.

The art community is thriving in Jackson! Inn on the Creek has around 20 different galleries within walking distance, so you can easily see what they all have to offer. The Gallery Association of Jackson Hole organizes a great Art Walk evening the third Thursday of every month. These evenings include artist receptions and openings during extended hours and many galleries provide complimentary appetizers and refreshments. Staying at the Inn puts you in the center of the events during the Fall Arts Festival, held annually in September. The 2014 Fall Arts Festival’s featured artist, Joshua Tobey, is a long-time friend of the Inn and we look forward to enjoying this great event with him.

Plan your stay at Inn on the Creek during one of the many festivals held in Jackson’s Town Square or downtown area and you will be in the heart of the fun. One of our favorite festivals, ElkFest, kicks off the summer season and is centered around the Jackson Hole Boy Scout Antler Auction. The Boy Scouts collect the winter shed of antlers on the National Elk Refuge and they are auctioned off on Town Square with most proceeds going back to support the Elk Refuge. Also held in May is the Old West Days, a weekend dedicated to celebrating Jackson as the ‘Last of the Old West.’ Special events include the Mountain Man Rendezvous, Old West Parade and The Old West Brewfest on Town Square. Miller Park, also within walking distance to Jackson’s Town Square and one block from the Inn, is the sight of the summer Jackson Hole Art Fairs. Artists and art lovers alike flock to these weekend fairs.

Make the most out of your vacation in Jackson Hole by staying at Inn on the Creek right in the heart of the  downtown.
