The Penneys - back to top - This Inn speaks for itself – after 5 days of hiking at Yellowstone and the Tetons, we could not have chosen a better place to stay and relax before heading home. If heading to Yellowstone, check to see if there is availability in the “Trails of Yellowstone” program – 4 days of sightseeing and hiking with a naturalist guide who was just fantastic!This particular program runs in the summer and includes 4 nights accommodations plus breakfast and lunch each day.In town, we ate at The Gun Barrel Steak and Game.The Buffalo Prime Rib and Velvet Elk were delicious! It felt like a private apartment, and we thoroughly enjoyed every day. The staff was wonderful, making a week’s worth of dinner reservations during the hectic holiday week. A late dinner at the Granary at Spring Creek Resort landed us a mountain top view of the fireworks over Snow King-unforgettable! We shopped, dined fabulously, visited the Teton National Park and even went fishing. Every night we returned to our private retreat. The cora outside our door for the ducks was a fun touch, too. As soon as we opened the shades in the morning, they’d come looking for breakfast. Now we’re packing to go home to our normal life-work, kids, and diet food! But we’ll always remember our wonderful week at the Inn on the Creek as the start of this very right marriage. Nick Dantamaro - back to top - I recently found out that my husband planned a get-a-way for the two of us. Much to my amazement, he was able to plan our trip to Jackson Hole with out me finding out. It has truly been a dream vacation. Our spirits have been renewed while staying at the Inn on the Creek. We have never been more relaxed or refreshed. To wake up from an uninterrupted night’s sleep, to breakfast in bed, a view of the snow capped mountains with wildlife, followed by a warm soak in the tub. I feel like the luckiest wife in the world!! I have to admit that I was bittersweet about coming and leaving our 6 month old son at home. Although I miss him terribly, I have fallen in love with my husband all over again. I have always believed the best thing two people can do for their children is to love one another. The Inn on the Creek is the perfect romantic setting for a small break from reality. We hope to return again, maybe during the summer. Other great meals can be found at the Blue Lion and Nani’s.Do lots of hiking if you like nature and wildlife.Best hikes include: Taggart Lake and Bradley Lake, or the easy walk to String and Leigh Lakes- great on a sunny day.For a more challenging day, try the tram to Marion Lake (and return via tram) or Paintbrush/Cascade Canyons.We always see lots of wildlife and fantastic scenery on these hikes- even bears!!Enjoy and thanks to the staff at the Inn for taking care of all the details (and for the cookies!!)
