There are many things to love about each season in Jackson- wildlife and skiing in the winter, refreshing hikes in spring, beautiful foliage in the fall. There’s something about summer in Jackson that just gets everyone excited- welcoming visitors from all over the world, long and warms days, and a myriad of fun events.
The 4th of July in Jackson Hole is truly a wonderful celebration of our nation’s independence. Small towns do Independence Day big and Jackson goes all out. From breakfast to the parade to concerts to fireworks, the day is packed with fun activities. Here’s how we like to spend it.
Kick off with breakfast at Inn on the Creek- find out what’s happening and where throughout the day. Plan what you’ll do and see.
Check out the parade on the Town Square. Enjoy the different entries including the community band, Rodeo princesses, dude ranches, political campaigns, and firefighters- a little bit of everything.
Try a scenic float or whitewater rafting. A great way to celebrate by being on the river and soaking in the sights of Jackson. On the scenic you’ll enjoy Teton views and on the whitewater you can cool off on a hot summer day.
Listen to music throughout the valley- classical, jazz, and more!
Head to the base of Snow King for the fireworks! Some will say they’re even better than our Nation’s Capital! A great show that can be seen from anywhere in the valley but it’s always fun to be where the action is.
Grab a drink at the Cowboy Bar and swing dance a song or two to end the night!
We can’t wait to host you in Jackson for the 4th of July this year or in years to come!
